Full disclosure: I am totally ripping off the Pop Culture Round-up from the now defunct Pop Candy blog at USA Today. It was my favorite blog, and this was the weekly post I most looked forward to. I can not promise to have the same exquisite taste as Whitney Matheson.
One of my favorite questions to ask my friend Becky is, “What are you reading?” She always seems to be ahead of the proverbial curve with her book choices. So when she posted 10 books that made a difference to her and asked me to do the same, I had to oblige!
Confession: I am not the best resolution keeper (or resolution maker, for that matter). My entire list of resolutions one year was this: floss. Annnnd I flossed for about a week. So this year I decided to skip the resolutions and, instead, accepted the 2016 Pop Sugar Reading Challenge.
Over the course of a year, the books I’ve read reflect something of the ‘state of the union’ for me. Where I was emotionally and even physically. It’s clear I have easy access to Young Adult novels – I work in a school library.
